A family brought 3 lovely dogs to Miss Dolito. Two of them were Schnauzers, DoDo and Golden; the other one was a Bichon Frise named Q-chan.

Dolito’s pets talk: Is he an orphan?

One of my friends is under postpartum rest and we have promised to help take care of her pet dog during this period. So this cute guy, A-Tsai, is living in our pet hotel for now.

One day, Miss Dolito heard Pon-Pon saying, “A-Tsai is an orphan. His mom abandoned him.”

Dolito’s pets talk: Warm

It’s rare that clothes can’t make it warm enough for pets in Taiwan. Most readers of this blog may not call the weather now in this small island ‘cold’ cause it’s still higher than 10 degrees, but we’re more used to temperatures like, 23 degrees. So it is very cold for us, and for our pets.

Still, I’m so ready for the coming Lunar New Year! Before I leave my computer for celebrating with my family and relatives, I want to share the photos of Miss Dolito’s pets. And see what dogs like to do when it’s cold. 🙂 Read the rest of this entry »

pets talk: I Ran Away

I remember when I was little there was a movie about the adventure of runaway animals. I’m not sure about the whole story but I remember the animals were running away because they were about to be sent to a butchery. In real life, when it comes to ‘runaway kids’ we usually think of human, and when we saw stray animals we tend to think they’re lost or abandoned. But sure there are ‘runaway pets’ as well in real life. Dan-Dan the Schnauzer and Yorkshire Terrier mix dog is an example.

Dolito’s pets talk: What Happened?

(Below is the translation of Miss Dolito’s blog. I stands for Miss Dolito.)

This morning after finishing reciting mantra, I lay on the floor casually to get some rest. It was not my normal behavior, so the moment I lay down, Tzai-Tzai rushed toward me and asked, “What happened, Mom?”

pets talk: Night Market

Amigo the Maltese was about four years old when he was brought to Miss Dolito. As soon as Amigo saw Miss Dolito, he started to complain, “I’m pissed! She had my fur trimmed like this! I don’t like it at all!” Even though we all thought Amigo looked very good, he really hated this Schnauzer style. He’s a Maltese, after all.

Dolito’s pets talk: For Safety’s Sake

I have a good news to share before today’s story begins. Chiou-Chiou the Persian Cat in this post is said to have gained energy. His owner left comment on our blog (the one written in Mandarin Chinese) and said that he’s fine now (and that the vet wasn’t scamming her). I’m so happy to see that.

Dolito’s pets talk: Knocking Eggs

Below is the translation of Miss Dolito’s blog. I stands for Miss Dolito.

My husband and I eat boiled eggs for breakfast everyday. We usually leave the yolks to our dogs, so they all run to our kitchen, waiting at the door, whenever they hear us knocking eggs and breaking the egg shells.

pets talk: Like Owner, Like Pet

Jan-Chan the mixed-breed dog was two years old when he was taken to see Miss Dolito. He was a Shih Tzu/Schnauzer mix. Once they came to sit in front of us, Jan-Chen lied down, his butt facing us.
