pets talk: We’re A Team

on July 30, 2014

A girl took her dog, Howdie the Mixed dog by scooter to Miss Dolito’s consultation room. Howdie was medium-size, and wore a friendly smile. We could tell that he was honest and prudent even before he started talking. And we were right.

Howdie’s first words were: “The other four are absent. Why don’t you take them here? We’re a team.”

The girl laughed. There were five dogs in her house as Howdie said; all of them were medium-size, or even large-size. “I don’t have a car yet.” The girl shrugged her shoulders.

Howdie loved his buddies. The girl told us that they were adopted at different times, but they really got along perfectly well with each other.

“We don’t fight. We play together.” Howdie said, “We protect each other.”

We looked at the girl again. She said that when they went for a walk, the five never got separate. They took a walk together; you could imagine that if they were human they’d probably hold each other’s hands.

They were a team, as he said.

“We all are thankful that you gave us home.” said Howdie. “Thank you for taking care of us.”

“No. Thank you.” the girl almost cried, “you’re the ones who stay with me when I’m down and lonely. Thank you.”

There are so much going on in this world and we can never know what’ll happen next. It’s really nice to let our loved ones know how much we love them, and how much we appreciate their love for us. That’s why I love this kind of conversations. It’s a little plain but it makes me smile every time. 🙂
